The Ottawa Junior 67's AAA are pleased to announce:
Major Midget AAA - Head Coach - Darrell Campbell
Team Liaison : Jennifer Primeau
Darrell Campbell brings to the Ottawa Junior 67's AAA Hockey Club more than 16 years of competitive coaching experience. He has coached competitive levels from Novice to Junior C. For the past seven years, he was Head Coach of the Gloucester Rangers Major Midget AA team and the Head Coach of the Jr.67's Major Midgets for the past 3 seasons.
Darrell has taken his Major Midget AA & AAA teams to the Provincials 9 out of the last 10 years and in 2010 won the Silver Medal at the Central Region Championships.
During the last 12 years, Darrell has also experienced championship seasons with the Embrun Panthers Junior C team, both as a coach and general manager.
Coach Campbell surrounds himself with strong, dedicated, experienced, and knowledgeable personnel.
Darrell's philosophy is "Respect the game at all times". In this he breaks it down:
- Respect the privilege to coach, always;
- Respect everyone all the time; and
- Provide an environment that is respectful and developmental.
Darrell Campbell received the Brian Kilrea Award for Excellence in Coaching in 2004 and was the ODHA Coach of the Year for the 2006/07 season. He was recently named the "Coach of the Year" along with his staff Jay Campbell and Richard Bercuson for the 2009/10 by the ODHA Jr. C League.
Minor Midget AAA - Head Coach - John Yablonski
Team Liaison : Nicole Plaschy
John Yablonski brings to the Ottawa Junior 67's AAA Hockey Club 21 years coaching experience at the Competitive level. He coached the last 3 years with the Jr.67's AAA, 7 years with the Gloucester Rangers, and the 11 years prior were spent with Orleans Minor Hockey (5 years) and East Ottawa Voyageurs (6 years). John has coached all levels from Novice to Minor Midget.
John surrounds himself with experienced, dedicated assistant coaches who provide him with a balanced team in which the players develop and thrive.
John's coaching philosophy is pretty simple; from his players he expects Commitment, Discipline, Character, and Passion for the game!
Major Bantam AAA - Head Coach - John Robillard
Team Liaison : Wayne Gudbranson
John Robillard has brought a wealth of hockey experience to the Ottawa 67's Hockey Club. John has been a head coach for the past 17 years and has also been very involved in the administration of various hockey organizations in the City of Ottawa, such as Gloucester Centre, Gloucester Blackhawks, Gloucester Hockey Association and the Ottawa 67's Hockey Club.
During the past 17 years, John has evolved into a competitive hockey coach who emphasizes development in a high performance atmosphere, with discipline and accountability of each player to himself and the team. John has assembled an exceptional experienced coaching team, who, like John, are passionate, dedicated, value team play over individual play and have a love for the game of hockey. Last year, John's team which included player development, hard work and dedication, were very successful in winning the regular season League and Play-off Championships. During the 2009/10 season, he guided his team to the finals in 4 out of 5 tournaments and winning 2 tournaments.
Minor Bantam AAA - Head Coach - Michael Miller
Team Liaison : Jim Lloyd
Michael Miller has been involved in coaching since 1971. He has coached at every level from House to Major Midget AA. He coached in the Metcalfe, Russell, Gloucester Rangers (7 years) and Osgoode-Rideau associations. Not only has Michael been very active on- ice coaching and running developmental clinics, he has also been very involved in mentoring, preparing and implementing coaching guidelines, facilitating NCCP coach certification clinics within ODHA (8 years) and is presently the Director, Coaching and Development with the ORMHA.
Michael's philosophy is based on development. Do the little things well and often and you will be competitive. Winning will follow. Michael guided the Jr. 67's Major Bantam AAA to the 2009 Provincial Championships and a 5th place finish at the 2010 Provincial Championships.
The Ottawa 67's hockey Club are confident that each child will experience friendship and player development under Michael's coaching, with an emphasis on individual& team play with the positive view of winning and becoming better leaders in the game of life.
